"How can they
preach unless they are sent?" (Romans 10:15).
Last July 14, 2002, NFBC held a
commissioning service for Robema Padernal as she answers the call from
the Lord to be a missionary nurse to the tribal folks in the Visayan
Islands in the Philippines. In as much as she speaks the language
of the tribal folks, which is Cebuano, she is so glad that she would be
able to serve them at once without any language barriers.
But whether she speaks the native tongue or not, her language of love
sweetened by the Word of God is
what she is best known for. From her ridiculous jokes to her
inspiring experiences as the Word of God becomes alive in her life, she
has captured the hearts of many. She is full of joy, exhibiting
love and care as she relates to everyone.
On the other hand, being true to the Word of God, she is not shy in giving reproof or
admonition, lovingly. Robbie has touched many lives at NFBC helping
them experience a closer walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. Her love for God truly
overflows in her life, making herself a vessel that God uses to be a
blessing for others. God has sent Robbie into the life of NFBC
that she may become a spiritual model for many - to be missionaries
right where God has planted us. We are sending a spiritual leader,
a servant of God, a true missionary. Her departure date for the
Philippines in on July 29, 2002. (To read more about Robbie, click
